Ramadhan

Fasting the most prominent event of this month is the fasting (sawm) practiced by most observant Muslims. Every day during the month of Ramadan, Muslims around the world get up before dawn to eat and perform their fajr prayer. They break their fast when the fourth prayer of the day, Maghrib (sunset), is due and can eat and drink until dawn the next day.During Ramadan, Muslims are also expected to put more effort into following the teachings of Islam as well as refraining from anger, envy, greed, lust, sarcastic retorts, backbiting, and gossip. They are encouraged to read the Qur'an. Obscene and irreligious sights and sounds are to be avoided. Purity of both thought and action is important. The fast is intended to be an exacting act of deep personal worship in which Muslims seek a raised level of closeness to God. The act of fasting is said to redirect the heart away from worldly activities, its purpose being to cleanse the inner soul and free it from harm. Properly observing the fast is supposed to induce a comfortable feeling of peace and calm. It also allows Muslims to practice self-discipline, sacrifice, as well as sympathy for those who are less fortunate, intending to make Muslims more generous and charitable.Prayer and reading of the Qur'an. In addition to fasting, Muslims are encouraged to read the entire Qur'an.Muslims tend to perform the recitation of the entire Qur'an by means of special prayers, called Tarawih, which are held in the mosques every night of the month, during which a whole section of the Qur'an (‘Juz', which is 1/30 of the Qur'an) is recited, so that by the end of the month the entire Qur'an has been completed. Tarawih is an Arabic phrase referring to those extra prayers. This prayer is performed after salah of Isha'a, but before the Wit'r Rakat. These are done in remembrance of the fact that the revelation of the Qur'an to Prophet Muhammad was begun during Ramadan.

This Morning me and Amel had our early breakfast together and break the fast together. I cooked for the early breakfast, we woke up at 4am in the morning to have this. Talking about Ramadhan and all, this is gonna be my first Ramadhan outside my homecountry :) so we will see *_^ BTW, if anyone feel hungry and want to have very late supper please come come to our place :) or for those of you who want to try to fasting for a day please come come... *_*

2 best friends living their dreams PART I Did I told you before most of my friends are boys. I found boys are more easy to become a friend not as complicated as if you make a friend with girls, well my theory. Naren is one of my best bud since 1st year in senior high school. We spent a lot of time together as well with 8 other guys. Yes, the girl is only me. Well I found they are just like my own brothers. We often had this conversation during our time that we spent together, about the future, travelling, life after school, etc....then one of our dreams comes true, me and Naren meet outside Indonesia not just for pleasure but also for business.
Naren stay in Bukit Bintang - we went to Little Havana to sneak one of life band performance and u know what one of them is Indonesian band, then not just that band but some other band played as well in different places at that night...wohow....after that we went to one of my fav cafe in starhill gallery Tiff's with life music and retro interior design. Naren also bring my other bag full of my stuff from Indonesia - inside there are my fav books , my teddy bears hahah yeah , my sister put ithem inside my new converse shoes so it can fit the bag... :P

What I do today are accompany Amel to get her hair cut, then we lunch and meeting my friend, I met again with Shehab my Palestinian friend whom I met during one of the workshop which I attend in KL last march - I was awarded a workshop scholarship by the ministry of sport and youth of Malaysia, then we go for KLCC aquarium. The aquarium was fine. We arrived on time, when they feed the sharks. But for me the best part is when I enter the insects section where a bunch of “tarantula” collection displayed! Yey – my favorite is “Brazilian WhiteKnee”.
I love "tarantula" and some other insects. I don't know if here I can have one of those in my place, hehe Im not sure my roomie will let me have one of those :) . Late at the evening we had sushi for dinner, my first sushi in KL - the sushi is not that fresh like what I always have back in Indonesia but its fine :)...

(2nd Day) yesterday was funny today is exciting and inspiring...I hope not temporary...

To early to judge about the job, but just want to share what I feel today. Today I found interesing and inspiring. I met the CEO today, two of them personally. They asked me several questions, well it just like the second interview (hehe although you already signed the contract). After that I had briefing with my team leader, she explain to me regarding to my job description and the organization overview, also the projects thats happening at the moment.

Today I found many interesting things, first this company is working on Insurance software especually Islamic Insurance software. Mainly their customers is from Arabian countries or countries where the moslem population is majority. Late in the day we had this knowledge sharing session lead by one of the CEO, the topic was the Fundamentals of Islamic Insurance, which I found it very interesting to learn and dig. I very much like the knowledge sharing idea - all the employee in the company can join this session and the CEO also join :) Its 2 way session so everybody can participate - sharing thought, giving questions, discussion, etc.

Thank God....the jobs coming :) the learning started...

Above of all the best thing that I got today is about grossery shopping. I decided to do that in KLCC on the ground floor of Suria on the way back home, there is a supermarket and I decided to use the friendly environment shopping bags, which is I always wanted to, but back in Indonesia people still useing plastic bag than this kind of bag. Good to know here they start to use the friendly environment bag, which u can use it everytime you do ur grossery store and its more handy I think...save the environemnt...
